Acceptable Use & Clinical Responsibility

Last updated (draft): June 24, 2026 (draft)

This Acceptable Use and Clinical Responsibility statement supplements the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By using MentalHealthSolutions.ai (the "Service") you agree to the following.

1. Clinician-facing only

  • The Service is for licensed mental health and human-services professionals, supervised trainees, case managers, and social workers.
  • The Service may not be exposed to clients as a chat partner, therapist, intake form, diagnostic tool, or self-help app.

2. De-identified use; no PHI

  • Enter only de-identified, general descriptors (for example: "adult", "ZIP-area", "primary language").
  • Do not enter names, full addresses, birthdates, phone numbers, emails, medical record numbers, insurance IDs, photographs, or any other directly identifying information about a client, family, or third party.

3. Not a crisis, diagnostic, or therapy service

  • The Service cannot assess or manage emergencies. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or therapy.
  • If a client is in crisis or there is an imminent safety concern, follow your jurisdiction's reporting laws and your agency's crisis protocol. In the US: 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 911 for immediate emergencies.

4. Referrals are unverified

  • Referrals come only from resources you upload. The Service does not invent, vet, or endorse any referral.
  • You must verify each resource's eligibility, availability, and clinical appropriateness before sharing it with a client.

5. Clinician retains professional responsibility

  • All outputs are drafts to be reviewed and edited using your professional judgment.
  • You — not the Service — remain responsible for clinical, ethical, legal, supervisory, mandated-reporting, and licensure decisions.
  • Use of the Service does not establish any clinical, supervisory, or agency relationship with us.

6. Prohibited uses

  • Entering PHI or identifying information.
  • Presenting Service output to clients as final, verified, or clinician-reviewed when it has not been.
  • Using the Service for automated decision-making about benefits, custody, employment, immigration, or law enforcement.
  • Reverse-engineering, scraping, or attempting to circumvent access controls.
  • Uploading content you do not have the right to share.

7. Reporting concerns

Report suspected misuse, safety issues, or inaccurate output via the in-app feedback link.

8. Enforcement

Violations may result in suspension or termination of access without refund. Serious or repeated violations may be reported to applicable licensing bodies where required by law.
